I’ve been working with children since 2020, caring for babies as young as 7 months through teenagers, including children with special needs such as autism and behavioral or learning challenges (ages 2 to 13). I'm certified by the American Red Cross in Advanced Child Care Training, and by the National CPR Foundation in CPR/AED/First-Aid. Since January, I’ve been taking care of two siblings (a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy) in Orinda but I’ll be starting my ABA Therapy studies in August, so I’ll be finishing this current position at the end of June. I’m now looking for a part-time position that will allow me to balance both work and school once my classes begin, however, I’ll still have flexibility to work extra hours if needed. From September 2023 to December 2024, I took care of a sweet 7-month-old baby girl who turned 2 and started going to preschool. My Read more responsibilities included preparing meals and bottles, feeding, age-appropriate developmental activities (reading, games, outdoor play), driving her to parks and libraries, diaper changes, baby laundry, keeping supplies stocked, giving baths, and organizing her play area. Before that, I was an Au Pair for an amazing family in Maryland for 1 year and took care of three lovely and energetic boys (ages 2, 8, and 12), all on the autism spectrum. I handled school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal prep, medications, laundry, potty training, and offered full support to both the kids and their parents. In Brazil, I worked for a year at a daycare with around 50 children. I primarily supported four toddlers with special needs but also assisted other babies and children as needed.
