My name is Destinee Stewart, and I’m a political science major at Southern Mississippi, with a potential double major in social work. Throughout my life, I’ve worked with children, from my younger brother and twin cousins to my little nieces and nephews. I’ve also gained experience working with children with autism and Down syndrome. Additionally, during my entire senior year of high school, I volunteered as an in-classroom mentor, assisting kindergarteners with their work and providing one-on-one support to those who were struggling. As for recent experience I have been volunteering at an after school program which involved helping multiple children with homework playing with them until their parents came. I have experience working with children from ages 4months to 13 years old.
