Hi! I’m Shambhavi—a University of Pittsburgh graduate with degrees in Sociology and Biology, and someone who’s always had a deep love for working with kids. Even though I’m not a parent myself, I’ve felt like a second mom since I was young. I grew up with a little sister who’s 8.5 years younger than me, and from the time she was born, I was helping out—feeding her, playing with her, doing school drop-offs, and everything in between. That experience really shaped how naturally I connect with children and how much joy I get from caring for them. Professionally, I’ve worked in both healthcare and education. I’m a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and worked as a medical assistant at a pediatric clinic, so I’m confident handling everything from bumps and bruises to more serious situations with calm and care. I’ve also served with AmeriCorps at the Boys and Girls Club, been Read more a camp counselor, and tutored students throughout my entire academic journey—from elementary to college-level subjects. Whether I’m helping with homework, playing make-believe, or calming bedtime worries, I truly enjoy being a positive, supportive presence in a child’s life.
