Hello families! My name is Michaela and I am a 30 year old mom to a 1 year old boy. My partner and I own a small roofing company so I am both a SAHM and a WFHM with some availability to jump back into childcare. My experience dates back to when I was a young teen, babysitting my cousins and children of family friends. My education in the field began in my school's Human Services program where I was given the opportunity to work in various childcare settings around the county. My education continued at the collegiate level where I studied Multidisciplinary Studies and Special Education. Here, I was also given field experience that expanded my knowledge of and gave me much insight into safe, healthy, fun, engaging, collaborative, and effective childcare and teaching practices. After college I worked as a lead teacher at a 5-Star rated child care Read more center and also as a private nanny for a young boy with Albinism. I now have a little one of my own and am thoroughly enjoying applying everything that I've learned over the past decade+ as I help guide and prepare him for childhood and beyond! Something that sets me apart from other caregivers is both my education in the field as well as my understanding of and ability to see every child as the individual that they are. I aim to create and provide an environment that encourages self expression and discovery for the earliest of learners and I am hopeful to motivate children in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities to discover what truly inspires them. My goal is to provide a stimulating, supportive, and safe environment that encourages individuals to develop a love for play and learning!
