Greetings, Parents! After graduating from high school, I began my career as a professional nanny, caring for children in two families. My first nanny position involved caring for a five year old girl named Shana, who had cerebral palsy and used a wheelchair. Because of her individual needs, I received specialized training and developed a strong understanding of patience, attentiveness, safety, and personalized care. For Shana’s sixth birthday, I even dressed as a clown to help make her celebration special. She was not always comfortable around unfamiliar people, so I wanted to create a fun experience that would bring a smile to her face. My second nanny position began when T.J. was five months old. Later, the family welcomed a baby girl named Alissa, and I had the privilege of caring for her beginning when she was only two days old. This position gave me professional and extensive hands on experience with infant care, feeding, comforting, developmental stages, daily routines, and maintaining a safe, organized home environment. After working as a nanny for several years, I moved into a management position in the banquet industry. I later became a mother myself. Throughout my professional career, I have also worked in customer service for the State of Connecticut and for a private utility company. These positions strengthened my communication, organization, problem solving, and customer service skills. My years as a professional nanny taught me so much about childcare, household routines, responsibility, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. When I became a parent, I felt confident and well prepared because of the experience I had gained caring for children through many stages of development. I am certified in CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross. For additional peace of mind, I have also completed an extensive background check and can provide verification to prospective families upon request. Today, I bring patience, care, organization, professionalism, and a genuine love for children into every family’s home. I especially enjoy creating fun and meaningful experiences through cooking, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, and other hands on activities that encourage learning through play and help children create lasting memories.
