Owned my own home daycare for two years licensed by the State of Virginia. Took care of six months to ten years old. Prepared meals and snacks. Also worked as a Camp Counselor for Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota with third, fourth and fifth graders. Experience babysitting newborns, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children. Worked at Julie Rohr Academy, Sarasota, with four and five year olds. CPR and AED certified. Will need to renew my certification in January 2027. Compassionate, caring, loving, patient and very reliable. Love working with children. This summer 2026 I am taking care of my granddaughter, who is 5 years old. She comes to my home around 7 am and gets picked up around 6 pm. We go to the community pool during the week, play card games, particularly Old Maid, Art Work, go bicycle riding around the neighborhood and also the water front of Read more downtown Sanford. I have a seven month old male mix golden retriever, who absolutely loves children, particularly little ones. We take Ennis for walks around the neighborhood early in the morning. I have a pond behind my townhouse full of ducks and geese. We go out daily and feed them. I also take care of my 3 year old granddaughter and 1 year old grandson, whenever daycare is closed or they are sick/not feeling well. Because I am booked this coming school year picking up my two granddaughters from school at 3 pm. I will be doing activities with them, including any homework, until they are picked up around 6 pm. I am only available during the week after 7 pm to babysit but am available on the weekends to sit. I do attend 5 pm mass on Saturdays and am usually home by 6:30. So, can give parents a night out after 7 pm or I can always do Sunday morning mass if the date night needs to be earlier. I am a widow of a career Naval Officer and moved from Sarasota in December 2025 to Sanford to help my daughter with the grandchildren. I have 7 grandchildren total and took care of two of them from infants to kindergarten Monday through Friday plus babysitting on the weekends for parents night out. I am available once school begins from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm during the week if a parent needs babysitting or their child is sick and they need to work at least most of the day. I raised 4 of my children basically alone plus working full time while my husband was in the Navy and deployed for 6 months or longer. I also do dog walking and dog sitting!
