I began babysitting when I was 13 years old (wanted to start as soon as I was old enough). I absolutely adore kids and have experience working with ages 7 months to 12 years old. I love to get outside, whether that involves having a picnic, playing games, or going to the pool. I grew up playing sports so I want to keep kids active as much as possible. I want to make sure the kids are enjoying their time with me so I want to try things they are interested in as well. I love to cook and bake so I feel comfortable making lunches or dinner. I also have experience life guarding and am CPR certified. I am currently a grad student at the Illinois College of Optometry and am looking for work mainly week nights and weekends. As our summer sitter/nanny, Ashley has been a pleasure to work with. She is reliable and flexible, willing to stay late occasionally when needed. Our twin boys will be two in October and can be a handful. Ashley took them to nearby parks, playgrounds, splashpads, story time and music hour to let the boys burn off some energy. She also fed them breakfast and lunch, took care of the cleanup, folded and put away laundry. Ashley always has a good attitude and the boys love her. We are already scheduling with her for some evening babysitting during the school year.
