My name is Jan, I have many years of experience in care giving & am a professional baby sitter & nanny. My families fondly refer to me as the "Modern Day Mary Poppins"! I have a natural way with people of all ages & stages, especially children. I’m warm, loving, dependable, caring, trustworthy, patient, punctual & loads of fun! I believe everyone regardless of age should be respected, celebrated, seen, heard & believed. I’m in alignment with attachment & gentle parenting philosophies ( Reggio Emilia, RIE, Montessori) . I keep things organized & tidy. I love to cook (preferably organic) & don't mind helping with children's laundry. I enjoy playing all types of games, LOVE reading books, working on fine/gross motor skills, language acquisition, doing art projects, teaching ASL, homework help, music therapy, potty training, fostering creativity, independent/parallel play, going on outdoor adventure walks, monitoring developmental milestones/health concerns, inspiring curiosity! I previously had a long term commitment to an adorable "neurodivergent” Bi-Polar/ADHD/Autistic 4yr boy & his 18 month old brother, that ended 6/2021 after almost 3 years. Another commitment was to two girls 4yr & 14 mo old that ended 2/2022. The 4 yr old is special needs w/ ODD. I recently cared for a beautiful 6 month old baby girl until 12/2023. During that year contract she was recovering from skull surgery & now that she is fully recovered, the decision was made for her to begin daycare. My most current commitment was to adorable TWIN 17 month old boys who I’ve been with for a year. They were 6 months when I began to care for them. My contract ended 3/2025. I’m also a certified behavioral interventionist. References will be provided upon request. I’m fully Covid vaccinated including boosters, flu & TDAP shots. Medically knowledgeable, administers meds. I’m respectful of all lifestyle choices, religious beliefs & am spiritually faith based. I live locally. Baby sitting availability. Non-smoker. Love all things furry & wagging tails! I’m not fully bilingual Spanish/4 yrs high school. Passport ready! My hourly rate is $20-$35 per hr based on the number of children & scope of responsibilities .
