Hi there! I'm LeeAnn, a dedicated caregiver and education paraprofessional based in Hesperia, CA. Whether you have a babbling baby, curious toddler, a school-age kiddo who needs extra support, a teenager with a busy schedule, or a dependent adult or senior in need of care. I'm comfortable with all ages and I'll show up ready to genuinely connect with your loved one. My background sets me apart from your typical sitter. I currently work as both a behavior technician and a school paraprofessional, supporting kids with autism and developmental disabilities in ABA therapy and classroom settings. Through my ABA work I've had plenty of experience providing services directly in residential settings and within clients' homes, so working in a family's personal space is very familiar and comfortable territory for me. Before my work as a paraprofessional and behavior technician I worked in Dementia Care homes as Direct Care Staff and Read more in group homes with developmentally delayed adolescences and adults as a Direct Support Professional. I have experience with assisting in Daily Living Skills (DLS), grooming, incontinence care, bathing/showering, dressing, feeding, cognitive practice, health monitoring, safety maintenance, documentation, skill and independence building. I'm trained in positive behavior support, de-escalation, and IEP implementation, and I hold both CPR and CPI certifications, so you can feel confident your loved one is in safe, capable hands. I have spent six years as a full-time caregiver for elderly and disabled family members, assisting with daily living, personal care, and dementia-related activities. Patience and dependable care truly come naturally to me. When we're hanging out, expect lots of fun! I love drawing, painting, Pearler bead art, writing, and video games, so I'm always down for a creative afternoon or a friendly gaming session. I enjoy walks and hikes too, so outdoor adventures are totally on the table. I share my home with two cats, a dog, and three spiders. I'm also currently studying American Sign Language and am trying to find more resources for getting out into the community to increase my ASL and Deaf culture competency.
