I'm a seasoned, gentle, joyful mother and grandmother, as well as a former Early Childhood Educator. I'm offering specialized care for newborns and young infants; ages birth through 6 months. I've worked extensively with newborn babies and young infants in the home, hospital newborn nursery, and early childhood daycare environments. My professional background includes 12+ years in early childhood as preschool teacher, preschool administrator and curriculum coordinator, and certified Infant & Toddler Specialist. I'm seeking a part time opportunity, 2-3 days/week, caring for an infant in the Daniel Island/Clements Ferry/South Mount Pleasant area. My husband and I are recent empty nesters, which allows me to offer loving, nurturing, quality care for your little one, Tuesday-Friday, on your desired schedule. I prioritize safe, developmentally appropriate, loving care and guidance for baby, attentively ensuring all baby's physical and emotional needs are anticipated and met, continuously throughout our time together. I adhere to Read more parents' preferences in every aspect of baby's care regarding feeding, soothing, napping, bathing and diapering. I'll encourage cognitive, social, language, and motor skills development through engaging and active sensory play, tummy time, music and movement, exploring books, and reading and singing aloud. Baby will have daily fresh air adventures and outdoor discovery time, as weather permits. I communicate well and enjoy documenting and sharing all the details of baby's day with mom and dad. I'm efficient with all household tasks related to caring for baby; bottle and meal prep, proper handling/warming/storing of breastmilk, washing and caring for bottles, breast pump and accessories, baby's laundry, cloth diapers/liners/covers. I'll keep kitchen, nursery, living and play areas tidy, and provide care for pets, too. Also available for occasional and as-needed care for date nights and Mom's Day Out.
