I’m a fully qualified ECE teacher in California with infant/toddler and program director certifications. Since retiring from the preschool world, I’ve been a PLAYbysitter with World of Wonder, a science and sensory mobile play program. (Ask any child if they are a “baby” and you can guess why I coined that title!) I’m not sure if I’m staying in Houston long-term, but I am definitely here now... I currently have a (failed) foster dog and my sister has a child Nemaline Rod and I travel to support her family back in California from time to time. I’m not sure how to combine those two! So, I’m definitely available for occasional sitting or even a night nanny. If I’m free, I’m very flexible with scheduling. I’m happy to drive children or run errands, but I prefer to use a family car to do so. When it comes to my rates. I Read more threw my hourly rate at $22. To be honest, I have a sliding scale where I have either donated my services or been paid up to $100 an hour depending on the family and event. Typically, if it is a shorter block of time or I’m providing materials and supplies, my hourly rate is higher. If it’s a longer day or parents go away or I travel with family, it’s a negotiated flat rate.
