Hello! My name is Lindsey and I’m studying for my B.A. in Psychology at California State University Long Beach. I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, and energetic! I like working with kids because I enjoy building relationships with them and being part of their growth. I love watching them learn new skills and gain confidence over time. Working with kids keeps me engaged, active, and having fun right alongside with them! I'm looking for a job that can provide work over the summer. I'm a college student with open availability until August. I'd like to continue working during the school year as long as my school schedule allows it. I'm open to just about anything in terms of tasks and type of nannying/babysitting. I'm comfortable driving, cooking, cleaning, tutoring, going on outings with the kids, bedtime, etc. If there are any specific responsibilities you are looking for, let me Read more know! I'm very flexible. One thing you should know about me is that I'm currently working on my B. A. in Psychology at CSULB, meaning I have a strong understanding of child development and behavior. One thing I'm passionate about is ABA therapy which is backed by science and uses positive reinforcement to promote desirable behaviors from children. My knowledge of psychology and years of experience help me ensure a safe, fun, and supportive environment for every child. My skills include organizing engaging activities for kids and ensuring they are supervised and safe at all times. I keep clear communication with both kids and parents in terms of expectations, challenges, and successes. I'm confident in managing a daily routine with things like meals, playtime, and bedtime. I started working with kids alongside my older sister when I was 13 years old. The two of us used to babysit for family-friends and families in our neighborhood. I began independently babysitting when I was 15 years old, and continued to babysit throughout all of high school and over summer vacations. I’m looking forward to connecting with new families and their sweet, fun, bright kiddos! Working with children is a passion of mine that I’ve nurtured throughout my college education and 6 years of babysitting. Feel free to reach out for any reason, I’m excited to connect with parents and answer your questions!
