Hi, my name is Alexandra, and I am a 26 year-old working professional with a strong background in business, event and program management, and childcare. I currently work as a Senior Program & Totality Manager for a medical communications company, where I coordinate and manage pharmaceutical programs/events. I have a bachelor’s degree in business and hold a Masters degree in Business Administration. I have been working with children since I was 16 years old. I started by babysitting for neighbors, family members, and families from my school community. I later worked as a summer camp counselor for approximately five years, including three summers at my former elementary school and additional experience at the YMCA. In those roles, I supervised children, organized activities and games, managed routines, handled different personalities and behaviors, and made sure the children were safe, included, and having fun. My responsibilities included supervising children, preparing meals and snacks, helping with daily routines and bedtime, planning activities, and adapting to each family’s individual rules and expectations. I have cared for children ranging from babies and toddlers to elementary-aged children, preteens, and tweens. I also have experience working with children with special needs. During high school, I volunteered through the YMCA with children with Down syndrome for approximately two years. That experience taught me a great deal about patience, communication, inclusion, and adapting my approach to each child. I genuinely enjoy being around children and getting to know their personalities and interests. I am comfortable being active and playful, doing crafts, baking, playing games, or having a quieter evening depending on the child and family’s routine. I am also a big animal lover and very comfortable in homes with pets. My professional experience has strengthened skills that transfer well into childcare, including organization, communication, multitasking, problem-solving, reliability, and following detailed instructions. Most importantly, I understand how much trust parents place in a caregiver, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to make sure children feel safe, comfortable, supported, and cared for.
