Hello my name is Janneth and I'm a preschool teacher but I have been working as a nanny for 20 years. I love working with children and being part of their cognitive, physical, and emotional development. I'm an educator, I studied to become a kindergarten teacher in 2003 and in 2023 I became a preschool teacher. So the philosophies I guide myself by are John Dewey with hands on learning experiences where the child learns as they play and Magda Gerber where children are respected individuals that take the initiative in their own learning and I become a guide; so I don't force them to do things they don't want to. I give children choices and as I learn what they like, I extend their learning experiences offering more activities related to the subject of interest. I love the outdoors and I enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood, listening Read more for sounds like birds or trucks, looking for plants, flowers, and talking about the colors. Every opportunity has teachable moments and I enjoy bringing such insight into children as they are learning about the world around them.
