My "little" brother waa born when I was 10yr old, and as both my parents had full time careers, that is when I became a babysitter. I have never considered caring for children a "job", and I am sure all of the children I have cared for, know that right away. My philosophy is that I am the children's protector, and, my ONLY responsibilities are those related to those children's happiness and well being. July of last year, I "retired" from my medical technologist career of 35 years. My last position being with Wake Medical Center for the previous 8.5 years. My CPR certification recently expired, but I am in the process of signing up for the recert course with American Red Cross. I have two children of my own, now 33 and 36, for whom I became a single parent, through divorce, when they were 3 and 6. I Read more raise fruit, apples, pears, peaches, blackberries, etc. I also have 15 chickens, 20 or so cats, three dogs, and, a registered, palomino, Morgan horse. Additionally, I am an excellent swimmer, love the ocean...swam for Florida State University varsity (BS Biology). Played high school tennis all three years, and can still swing a good racket. My longest bicycle ride was 110miles from Gainesville to Daytona Beach. I have an excellent driving record, am FULLY INSURED+, both vehicle AND health. In conclusion, my smart phone and I are NOT "friends", I do not smoke, drink alcohol, get sick, and am not on any medications .
