I have a lifelong passion for caring for and supporting children. From the age of 15 through 25, I worked in childcare, gaining hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and learning how to create a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. My experience became even more meaningful when I became a parent through adoption. I adopted eight children, including children with and without special needs. Raising eight children has given me an incredible depth of real-life experience with children’s individual personalities, developmental needs, routines, emotions, and challenges. My childcare qualifications come not only from my years of professional experience, but also from decades of hands-on parenting and advocacy. I understand that every child is different and deserves patience, compassion, consistency, encouragement, and individualized care. I take great pride in being someone children can feel safe and comfortable with.
