Caring for children has been the center of my life’s work for over 25 years and counting. I love being a sitter because it allows me to offer calm, attentive, and emotionally grounded care while building genuine, trusting relationships with both children and families. As a mother of three daughters who are now grown, I truly understand how it feels to leave your children in someone else’s care and want to enjoy time away without worry. I take that trust seriously and find deep fulfillment in being the person who offers families peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, nurtured, and genuinely cared for. My experience spans infancy through middle school and includes both educational and home-based settings. For 17 years, I served as the Director of a large preschool serving infants through Pre-K, overseeing daily care, staff, curriculum, and family partnerships. I have extensive hands-on experience with infants Read more and toddlers, including responsive caregiving, safe sleep practices, daily routines, developmental observation, and supporting families through early transitions. In addition to early childhood leadership, my background includes outdoor and environmental education, social-emotional learning, homeschool and Girl Scout programs, and private family care. I’ve worked with children in a wide range of settings, always with a focus on developmentally appropriate, respectful, and relationship-based care. I bring strong training in child development and secure attachment, along with Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification and a California Program Director Permit. I have potty trained over 250 children and created a gentle, effective potty-training program used by teachers and private families. I’m skilled in supporting emotion regulation, building self-esteem, and creating calm, predictable environments where children can thrive. I deeply respect parents as the experts on their own children and view my role as a collaborative partner. I honor each family’s values, routines, and parenting style while offering my experience when welcomed. Discretion, consistency, and clear communication are important to me. Caring for children is deeply meaningful to me - work I approach with intention, respect, and heart.
