Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because it allows me to build meaningful connections with children and support their growth in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I enjoy watching kids learn new things, express themselves, and feel cared for. It’s rewarding to be someone they trust and to help families by giving parents peace of mind. What experience do you have? I have experience caring for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. I’ve babysat regularly for families, helping with daily routines like meal times, naps, and playtime. Additionally, I’ve worked as a preschool aide, which gave me hands-on experience supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs in an educational setting. What skills and training do you have? I am trained in basic child safety and first aid, and I understand how to handle common childhood situations calmly and effectively. I have Read more strong communication skills that help me connect with both children and parents. I’m patient, attentive, and creative in planning activities that keep kids engaged. Also, my background in education helps me support children’s learning and development during my time with them.

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
