Hi there, I'm Holly :) I'm a creative, compassionate educator and caregiver with with over a decade of experience working with children ages infancy into teens. Over the years I have worked as an elementary school art and PE teacher, behavioral aid, afterschool teacher, camp counselor, and substitute teacher. For three years I worked as a 1-to-1 aide for a student with autism, and have a passion for working with children with special needs. I also ran my own afterschool program during the COVID 19 lockdown for a group of elementary age students in my community. I am an extremely attentive and engaging caregiver and I do my best to avoid screen time. I'd much rather be reading, working on art or science projects, exploring nature or playing games with your kiddos! I am comfortable with homework help, light meal preparation and transportation, and have a clean driving record. I Read more am open to all ages of children, though I especially love working with toddlers and early elementary-age students. I've been referred to as 'Ms. Rachel' by previous families for my ability to keep little ones engaged and learning. I'm a professional musician (singer-songwriter for an indie folk rock solo project) and a mixed-media artist. If your child is creative and loves art and music, we may be an excellent fit! In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, cooking and swimming.
