I have experience as a professional babysitter at a Resort, taking care of kids in their hotel rooms while their parents attend banquets, as well as babysitting for my younger cousin in my own house and hers. I've been volunteering running kids booths at my local Arts Festival for three years, and that includes organizing and managing kid friendly activities and helping the littles with their craft. I held a short term position as an assistant Discovery Day Camp Counselor at an outdoor bush school, in charge of kids ages 6-11 and assisting with outdoor related crafts and games. I love the curious nature of children and I love that babysitting gives me the opportunity to be a positive role model and answer questions about the world in a way that sparks creativity and a continuing desire to learn. Because of my young age, I feel that I have a Read more natural charisma with children and an ability to connect with them in a way that most young adults couldn't, while still being responsible and safe and trustworthy. The safety and comfort of the kids I'm caring for is always my top priority. I was CPR and First Aid certified in the past through a babysitters training course, and that training and certification will be renewed before accepting a job offer. I look forward to expanding my list of references and growing my experience in childcare and education.
