Hi all! My name is Katy, and I am a recent graduate of Michigan State University's 5th-year teaching program and am now a certified high school English teacher. Though I usually work with high school students, I have many years of experience working with younger children as a substitute teacher (3 years), camp counselor (3 years), and have taught dance to children aged 2-18 for the past 8 years. I also worked as a lifeguard for two years and am certified in CPR and first aid. I love all kinds of arts and crafts, spending time outdoors, cooking, and reading. I have my own car and am willing to take kids on field trips, run errands, and take care of pets. I am currently looking for a full-time position for the summer and can't wait to meet you and your family!

We interviewed Katy for a summer nanny job for our 19 mth old son as we were having trouble finding a new long term nanny. She did a phone and in-person interview and was such a delight! She answered all our questions with confidence and we felt our son would be safe and secure in her hands with her experience. She came on time, was professional, fun and interacted with our son immediately. He was very comfortable with her and they even played on their own. We would have hired her but found someone in the 11th hour that was able to commit long term. Any family would be lucky to have Katy!
