I love working with children and helping them grow and learn. Learning through playing as well as through creative activities and reading is important. I have three boys, was a high school English teacher, did in-home daycare and have worked as a special education assistant most recently I think that the most important part of being a nanny is to remember how children are soaking up everything around them. Birth to five are the most crucial years in a child’s life in my opinion. So making sure that I am making a concerted effort to model desired behavior and to help children grow socially and emotionally while working on beginning literacy and math skills is essential. I love reading to children and working on their emerging literacy and math skills through play and fun activities. I’m very active and enjoy helping kids become active through things like going for walks, Read more going to parks and playing outdoors. Playing is so important for kids to learn language skills and to develop their social skills.
