I'm a 40 year old mother of an 8 year old daughter.I cared for a stepson from when he was age 3 up until age 10, starting when I was 21 years old. Being a step-mom at a young age provided a great experience and opportunity to learn how to take care of and learn from kids. It gave me insight in to the mind of a child, which was a wonderful thing to gain in my twenties. Now that I have a child of my own, I enjoy having the opportunity to care for other children of all ages and apply my knowledge and experience, with the goal of helping other parents navigate through parenthood with the assurance that someone they can trust is providing them much needed assistance. When I was 13 my summer job was being the primary babysitter for a family with three children, age 1, 3 and 6. I babysat four days a week and as needed on weekends. I received my babysitting certification and did first aid and CPR training a well.
