Hello Families, My name is Eva Mijares. I have had the joy of working with children in various capacities for the past 25 years, ranging from infants to teenagers. My background and education are in Early Childhood Development. From 2000 to 2019, I worked at the Napa Valley College Child Development Center, first as an aide, and later as a master teacher. After the center was acquired by another agency, I transitioned into an administrative role. Despite this change, I have remained actively involved in childcare by babysitting for local families, which I continue to do to this day. Working with children has always brought me joy. It comes naturally to me, thanks to both my formal education and hands-on experience. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to manage classrooms with various age groups and ratios, develop curriculum based on children's needs and developmental milestones, and mentor incoming students. Read more When I babysit, I make it a priority to respect each family’s unique approach to caregiving. I tailor my care to align with their preferences while also offering my professional insight when asked. I don’t just see babysitting as a service, I see it as an opportunity to engage children in meaningful ways that support their learning and development.
