Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy nurturing and supporting children’s growth and development. Being a positive, dependable presence in a child’s life—whether it’s through helping with homework, creating a fun and safe environment, or simply listening—is something I value deeply. I take pride in helping children feel seen, heard, and cared for, while also giving parents peace of mind. What experience do you have? I have experience working with children across different age groups, including through my roles as a substitute teacher and as a school-based intern. These experiences involved supervising children, managing behavior in a positive way, and providing emotional support. I've also helped children with learning activities, organized games, and ensured their safety in both classroom and community settings. My background in social work has prepared me to be patient, attentive, and responsive to each child’s individual needs. Read more What skills and training do you have? I’m CPR certified by the American Heart Association and have completed Relias trainings focused on working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). I also bring skills in crisis intervention, active listening, and trauma-informed care. My social work education has strengthened my ability to communicate with children, set healthy boundaries, and approach caregiving with empathy, cultural awareness, and professionalism.
