It is unfortunate that I have to write this but I feel obliged so that it creates awareness and helps others in the community. Marissa's behavior was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. We initially spoke on the phone - the interview went well, she was enthusiastic and we were excited to meet her. On the day of the scheduled meeting (Friday), she reported that she had car trouble and could not come and asked to reschedule to Monday. So we rescheduled to accommodate her. As an essential worker in healthcare and a mother, it is challenging for me to rearrange my schedule. However, I specifically rearranged the schedule to meet with her on Monday. Monday came and she never arrived. When we called and left a message, there was no response. It was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional and a significant waste of time for us and consequently also affects others who depend on us. She was lacking common courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this reflects on the individual's character and someone like this cannot be trusted to take care of children.
