Hello! My name is Alexis, but I usually go by Lex. I live in Lakewood,Colorado. I have always had a passion for working with children—ever since I was young, I knew this was the path I wanted to pursue. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and am continuing my education in a master’s program at Bellevue University, where I am working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in child therapy. I have many years of hands-on experience working with children in a variety of settings. I have been a summer camp counselor at the YMCA, working with children ages five to thirteen, where I focus on creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment. Prior to that, I worked as a swim instructor at Aqua-Tots, teaching children from nine months to fourteen years old, which helped me build strong communication skills with both children and parents. In Read more addition, I currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing behavioral therapy to children between the ages of five to fourteen. This role has strengthened my ability to support children’s emotional and behavioral development with patience, structure, and care. I also have personal experience caring for young children, as I regularly babysit my four-year-old and two-year-old nephews. I am an outgoing, energetic, and compassionate person who genuinely enjoys helping children learn, grow, and feel supported. I strive to create a positive and safe environment where children can thrive, and I am committed to providing dependable and attentive care for every child I work with.
