Hi! My name is Autumn and I’m 21 years old. I have been babysitting since I was 12, and caring for children has always been my passion. At 18, I began working professionally in childcare as an assistant teacher in a preschool classroom. Since then, I’ve worked with infants, toddlers, two-year-olds, preschool, pre-K, and school-age children, including having my own classrooms as a lead teacher. My experience with infants includes bottle feeding, diapering, nap routines, tummy time, age-appropriate activities, comforting, and supporting early developmental milestones. As a lead toddler teacher, I planned activities, supported language and social development, helped with routines and potty training, encouraged independence, and created a safe and nurturing environment. In the two-year-old classroom, I helped children learn colors, shapes, numbers, letters, counting, sharing, following directions, and other important skills through play, art, music, books, sensory activities, and hands-on learning. I was also a lifeguard, where I Read more received CPR and First Aid training, so safety is always a top priority for me. I have personal experience with children with developmental differences as well. My sister has Down syndrome, and my youngest brother attends developmental preschool, giving me a strong understanding of patience, compassion, flexibility, and meeting each child’s individual needs. I’m currently attending Ivy Tech to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education. Working with children is truly my calling, and my heart is in early childhood education. I love creating a safe, fun, and loving environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. I would love the opportunity to become a trusted part of your family!
