Hi there! :D I'm Eboni :) I'm originally from Maryland, I moved out here on a whim really. I have a few family members in CA, & I wanted a change of scenery (I absolutely ADORE beaches & traveling), so I figured why not? I am an open minded person who enjoys a wide variety of interests. I like amusement parks, instruments (I'm on&off with the guitar and piano haha), riding horses (I'm pretty decent lol), nature, hiking, arts&crafts, eating/trying new food, YouTube, music, football, movies, dance, the list kind of just goes on and on :). Growing up my parents never hindered me on exploring my various interests, so that's pretty much why I have knowledge of so many random things haha! And, I aim to be able to introduce the things I love to others and learn and take interest in the things they love. I am a Read more former competitive gymnast: and during my college years I briefly helped coach youth in gymnastics & cheer at PKR Athletics. I LOVE learning languages: besides English, I also speak Spanish (I used to tutor a little girl in Spanish), and I'm currently teaching myself Japanese. I also know a few words in Sign Language, Chinese, Portuguese, French, Korean. (I aim to be fluent in all of these and then some!) I did 'YouthWorks' in Baltimore: and I was able to help a large group of youth in Baltimore learn how to build resumes, conduct interviews, apply to colleges, jobs, and more... And, it was an AMAZING experience being able to make a difference in the community. So, I think it's safe to say, I truly and genuinely enjoy working with kids/youth :) . They hold a special place in my heart and the compassion in me is overjoyed. That's why I love being a sitter! I enjoy working with them so much because they are pure and you can ALWAYS learn from them. Their thinking is not like ours and in many ways they make us better adults! I believe every child, in the care of another, deserves to be treated as if they are that person's own, regardless of the circumstances/reality. And, that is what sets me apart, because I determinedly strive to give parents/guardians the relief of never having to worry about anything when their child is in the care of me :D Thanks for taking the time to read!
