Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy getting to know kids and seeing how they think about the world. Every child has their own personality and interests, and it’s fun to figure out what makes them laugh or what activities they get excited about. I like being the person they can rely on for both fun and structure, and I take pride in making sure they feel comfortable and safe when their parents are away. What experience do you have? I started babysitting for my neighbors when I was 15, and since then I’ve worked with kids ranging from toddlers to middle schoolers. I’ve handled everything from after-school routines and homework help to bedtime and meal prep. I’ve also watched groups of kids during birthday parties and family events, so I’m comfortable managing more than one child at a time. My morning job includes tutoring mentally challenged students ranging from all ages. I have also tutored children at multiple catholic schools like St. Pats. What skills and training do you have? I’m certified in CPR, so I know what to do in an emergency. I’m also organized—I always make sure to keep track of schedules, homework assignments, and any special instructions parents leave. I’m good at coming up with creative activities, whether it’s simple crafts, outdoor games, or helping with school projects. I’m patient, but I also know how to set boundaries and keep things running smoothly. Overall, I take the responsibility seriously and always try to leave things better than I found them.
