Hello! My name is Amy Wood, but the children call me Miss Amy. I am an experienced nanny/child caregiver. I am 46 years old and the proud mother of 3 grown children (26,23,19.) I graduated from Mount Saint Mary College, Magna Cum Laude in 2014. I have a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary studies Elementary Education. Parents and children have described me as fun, energetic, kind, generous, patient, and caring. I absolutely adore infants and children, and have a passion working with Autistic children. I believe in taking children outside as often as possible. I also enjoy doing crafts, cooking, reading to, singing to, and nurturing children. I like to limit television and other technology and instead interact or teach hands-on. I am currently working for an amazing family in Suffern, NY. I have been with the family since their child was a newborn. He is now one year old. I Read more love watching him grow and love to teach him new things. I watch over him as if he were my own. We sing, dance, craft, read, hug, play, and learn together. I am very sad that the family will be moving at the end of September. I am CPR and first aid trained. I am also CSM trained and certified. I hold safety as a top priority. I can provide a resume and/or references as requested from a prospective family that is seriously interested in hiring me. I'm an experienced mother of three, nanny/baby sitter, Direct Support Professional, and Special Education Paraprofessional. I have babysat for families with 1-4 children, including children with disabilities. I am a pet lover as well. I have two dogs and one cat. I am available to start in October.
