Hello! My name is Taryn and I’d love to introduce myself as a nanny, babysitter and pet sitter. I am 19 and I am passionate about working with children, and I love pets. I believe that my skills and experience make me an excellent candidate for this role. I’m frequently searching for opportunities that will broaden my experience and skill set, and I’m always willing to try/learn new things. I’m a sophomore undergraduate student at UTK and I’m studying to become a pediatric occupational therapist. I have a deep understanding of the importance of fostering a positive and nurturing environment for children. I’m committed to providing high-quality care that promotes growth, development, and learning for all the children I work with. I also have a younger brother who has autism and intermittent explosive disorder. I’ve spent countless hours working with him, learning about his needs and how to provide the Read more best possible care and support for him. I’ve developed the patience, empathy, and the skills necessary to provide excellent care for children with a wide range of unique needs. I’ve been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and I worked at an after school daycare program at the Lagrange Highlands Elementary/Middle school for a year, before going to college. At the daycare, I worked with children in kindergarten up to fifth grade, however I also have experience with infants and toddlers. This past summer I was a full-time nanny for an 11 year old girl with some special needs, where I would drive her to her activities, ride bikes, swim, paint, bake desserts, make slime, and do other fun activities with. I also made her breakfast and lunch, and did various chores/maintenance cleaning each day. Currently I babysit a young boy who has autism and is nonverbal. I stay with him every morning during the week before driving him to therapy. In addition to my experience working with children, I am also a huge animal lover. I have a rescue pit bull named Piper, and I’ve taken care of multiple families’ pets while they were away. I’m more than happy to provide pet sitting services to families who need them. I know how important it is to feel comfortable and confident about leaving your children with a nanny/sitter, and I’m more than happy to stop by to meet you and your kiddos before being hired. Thank you for considering me as your nanny and/or pet sitter. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family!
