Hi! I’m Alexia, a Doctor of Physical Therapy student with a big heart for working with kids. I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy building genuine connections with children and being part of their fun, imaginative world. Whether we’re at the park, playing water games, doing puzzles, or getting creative indoors, I love creating a safe and playful environment where kids feel happy and supported. Babysitting also aligns with my goal of becoming a pediatric physical therapist, so I care deeply about helping children grow, move, and gain confidence. I have over 10 years of formal babysitting experience with children ages 3 months to 10 years old, plus lifelong experience as the oldest of three siblings (I started helping with my baby brother when I was 8!). I’ve worked as a Vacation Bible School camp counselor, provided consistent summer childcare throughout college, and cared for a family friend’s Read more child for multiple years. I work currently at the Kids Academy of Lifetime for the past 6 months. I also babysat through a platform in Austin for two years and completed over 100 sits with families of all ages and needs, leaving families highly satisfied with frequent five star reviews: 1. As soon as Alexia walked in the door my shy 3 year old daughter had a huge smile on her face and started jumping up and down, even though this was their first time meeting! We really enjoyed Alexia and hope to have her back! 2. Alexia was so great with our kids! Her energy from the moment she walked in the door was magnetic. She was very positive and excited to be there and she even brought the kids coloring books. They all had great things to say and we enjoyed visiting with her as well. 3. Alexia is always amazing with our 5 month old. She is so friendly and is just a joy to have around. In addition, I worked as a physical therapist technician at Texas Children’s Hospital, which strengthened my ability to work with kids and families in a professional healthcare setting. My training in physical therapy gives me a strong understanding of safety, child development, and how to stay calm and attentive in all situations. I’m active, patient, reliable, and great at keeping up with any energy level while following family routines and communicating clearly with parents. Feel free to contact me for references!
