Hi Families! My name is Kim and I am from Germany! I finished my education as pre school and kindergarten teacher in summer 2017. Since then I have worked in several pre schools in Germany, kids age 6months to 6 years. I was an AuPair for 2 years My first year I spend in New Jersey where I worked and lived with a family of 3 boys. The older one was 7 back then and the Twins 5 years old. The twins are development delay, which is why they receive occupational therapy and physiotherapy, among other things. Due to the COVID situation, I have assumed the role of the therapist and am implementing the previously discussed activities in occupational therapy and physiotherapy with the twins. They also have epilepsy and living with the Keto diet! The second year I have spend in Redwood City, where I lived and worked with Read more a family of 3 kids (boy 3, girls 7 and 9) The 7 year old girl has special needs. She has an Gen defect called BRAT1. Because of that she is development delay, which is why she receives occupational therapy and physiotherapy, as well as horse back riding. Due to the COVID situation, I have assumed the role of the therapist and am implementing the previously discussed activities in occupational therapy and physiotherapy with her. She also has epilepsy and gets daily medicine because of that! I also supported and took care of the 3 year old boy in his daily routine. I am helped with cooking and feeding, using the bathroom and baths times. I am a patient and calm person who likes spending time with children and support them to grow!
