Hi! I’m Briana – a biology professor at the University of Washington with a PhD in Biochemistry, a former EMT and K–12 substitute teacher, and an animal lover looking for something fun and meaningful to do this summer. I’ve worked with kids of all ages, from elementary students to college learners, and I love making science and learning fun. I’m also a founding member of a science outreach program that designs hands-on experiments for children—so if your child loves slime, volcanoes, or nature walks, we’ll get along great! Safety and care are at the core of what I do. I’m CPR/First Aid certified, have EMT training, and speak English and Spanish. I'm happy to help with pets, homework, playtime, routines, and more.
