Hello! I am a Pacific Lutheran University alum, I got my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2019, and I am CPR, First Aid, and Safe Sleep certified. I have a long history working with children for eleven years. Besides babysitting and nannying for several families, I have worked at two daycares, Kumon Tutoring Center, Our Sisters’ House, and ACES. At Kumon Tutoring Center, I tutored preschool and elementary aged learners in reading and math, and graded their classwork and homework. I primarily worked with children in k-12 for a total of six years, and had the opportunity to work with toddlers specifically for one of those years. A couple summers ago, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in the four year olds room at a daycare, and that job consisted of childcare and meal preparation. I worked there for a couple of months during the summer before going Read more back to school. At Our Sisters’ House, a domestic violence non-profit agency, I attended all three support groups and assisted with childcare. At the Sisters Seeking Change support group, I assisted with childcare while parents were in the support group for domestic violence help. At Stepping Stones I assisted with the children, ages five to eleven, who have been exposed to domestic violence. At New Directions I assisted with the teenagers, ages twelve to seventeen, who had teen-initiated domestic violence. I helped teach them skills such as coping, anger management, conflict resolution, effective communication, and safety planning. I also worked at ACES as a Behavior Interventionist, and obtained my license as a Registered Behavior Technician through Washington State. I primarily worked with children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, and my clients ranged from four to fifteen years of age. At ACES, I treated maladaptive behaviors and learning deficits in children who are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, or who have other developmental disorders. In high school I babysat for a family who had a two year old boy, and then I later babysat for a family who had three boys ages six, eight, and twelve. During college summers, I babysat for a family who had two girls in elementary school; I later full time nannied for a family who had two boys ages one and four. In 2020, I nannied for a family of three boys ages four, six, and eight. In 2021, I nannied for two families with a 3 y.o. boy, 4 y.o. girl and 6 y.o. boy. I work at a daycare currently as a lead teacher in the 1-2 year old room.
