I love being around children because of their infectious energy, curiosity, and unique personalities, and I find it incredibly rewarding to support a child’s formative years. I have several years of professional childcare experience working with a wide range of ages. At Norfolk Christian Lower School, I worked in Extended Care with children from Pre-K4 through fifth grade, and at Talbot Park Baptist Preschool and Daycare, I cared for toddlers ages 1.5 to 2.5. I also work as a substitute teacher, which has strengthened my ability to adapt to different ages, personalities, needs, and classroom environments. Outside of my professional experience, I am the oldest girl of five children, so caring for and being responsible for younger children has been a major part of my life. These experiences have taught me to be patient, attentive, dependable, and comfortable balancing fun with structure and safety.
