I love going on adventures so living in Colorado a lot of those adventures happen in nature! I enjoy going on hikes, backpacking and car camping, snowboarding and spending time in water either swimming or paddle boarding. I also love to travel and see different parts of the world and the United States. I spend a lot of my free time at my gym learning and coaching Brazilian jiu jitsu and Muay Thai. I also enjoy reading and have been exploring different genres and authors by challenging myself to different reading challenges and book clubs. I live with my husband and our fur babies (two dogs and a cat). I grew up in with a younger brother who I am still very close to. I love to spend time with my family and am lucky to still be able to spend a couple weeks a year with my parents and Read more grandparents who live out of state. I have been babysitting since I was 14 and have watched kids from a couple months old to 17 years old. I started nannying during grad school in 2018 and have worked with several families with children of all ages and backgrounds. I have fun using imagination, play and art with the younger kids to help them explore the world. When they get older I enjoy doing whatever interests them such as playing sports, video games and playing instruments. Some of the kids I have watched even taught me how to play the ukelele :) I find a lot of joy in getting to see people do the activities they love so I will try almost anything at least once. I have been CPR certified several times and am willing to get certified again. I have also attended several trainings from different organizations on how to interact with kids and keep them safe, including through Ralston house and Denver Health. A lot of my education regarding children was obtained during my masters degree in clinical mental health and have several certifications in different areas as a result.
