Hi! I’m Lauren, I'm a creative professional and experienced after-school arts educator based in East Nashville. I especially enjoy working with elementary and middle school-aged kids and creating an environment where they can be themselves, explore their interests, and have a little fun after a long school day. In addition to providing dependable after-school care, I bring a strong creative background to the table. I teach arts enrichment programs and have experience introducing kids to hands-on creative activities including art, filmmaking, storytelling, photography, and other project-based experiences. I love finding activities that are genuinely engaging and tailored to what each child is interested in, rather than simply filling the afternoon with screen time. I’m comfortable helping with school pickup, homework and after-school routines, preparing simple meals or snacks, driving to activities, and keeping afternoons organized. I’m also happy to work with families who have older children who may not need Read more constant supervision but still benefit from having a responsible adult around to help keep their afternoon moving smoothly. I’m particularly open to working with siblings or a small group of children, including families interested in coordinating care with friends from the same school. I think an after-school nanny share can be a great arrangement for older kids because they get to spend time with friends while still having structure, supervision, and opportunities to do something creative together. I’m dependable, organized, patient, and very comfortable working with kids with different personalities and interests. My goal is to make afternoons easier for parents while giving kids a safe, supportive, and creative space they actually look forward to coming home to.
