Hi! My name is Shakema, and I’m excited about the opportunity to become a nanny and hopefully become someone your family can truly depend on. I’m a caring, patient, dependable, and responsible person who genuinely loves working with children. I have over 6 years of experience working with children, along with CPR and First Aid certification. I also have experience working with children with disabilities and understand that every child is different and may need their own approach, patience, and routine. I’m also a mom of three children. Having children of my own has given me a lot of hands-on experience with different personalities, behaviors, routines, and developmental needs. My children are on the autism spectrum, so I also have personal experience understanding and supporting children who may need extra patience, structure, communication, and understanding. This has taught me to never assume that one approach works for every child. When Read more I care for children, my goal is for them to feel safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for. I enjoy keeping children engaged through play, learning activities, reading, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate routines. I’m also comfortable helping with meals, homework, bedtime routines, and keeping their spaces organized. I understand how important it is for parents to trust the person caring for their children. I’m dependable, attentive, and a strong communicator, and I would treat your children with the same care and patience I would want someone to give mine.
