While in college, I worked as a nanny for a family with two daughters, who were 6 months and 2 years old when I started. I cared for them for a year and have remained in close contact with the family ever since. After graduating, I spent a couple of years working as a legal administrative assistant, and I am now pursuing my law degree. Nannying was a truly meaningful experience for me during undergrad and I’m excited to return to it while in law school. I closely follow the parents’ expectations regarding meals, naps, and activities, and I make it a priority to keep them updated—whether throughout the day, daily, or weekly—based on their preferences. It’s important to me that the children have fun while also engaging in activities that support their developmental growth. I incorporate reading, crafts, and both indoor and outdoor play to help achieve this. I Read more especially enjoy crafting and love finding creative projects that are both fun and educational.
