I’m a 1st year college student majoring in secondary education, and I’ve been taking care of kids for well over 10 years. I took a college-level teaching course in my senior year of high school where I worked a couple months as a teacher's assistant as Adams Elementary in Yakima where I also learned critical child development knowledge. My mom had a home-based daycare for 20+ years, so I grew up learning how to care for kids of all ages, particularly toddlers. I am CPR and First Aid certified with a Food Handlers certification if any meal prep is needed. I am also experienced with pet care (cats, dogs, birds) as my family has had a lot of pets. I am skilled at conflict resolution, diaper changes, meal prep, house cleaning (if needed), safe sleep strategies, emotional intelligence, entertainment, and empathy.
