Hello, my name is Emily. I have a degree in Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University and have worked with students of all age groups, from birth to old age. During my time there, I helped to facilitate Music Play for infants to Preschool-aged children and their parents. My student teaching and subsequent teaching job involved Kindergarten through seventh grade. I have also been involved in summer music camps with children from underserved areas as well as specialty camps. Through my unique background and training, I have built a positive rapport with a diverse set of families. Previously, I also nannied for a family for about a year and a half. The children were 2 (female) and 5 (male) when I began. Some of my responsibilities included meal prep, laundry, and transportation in addition to playing and entertaining the children. I loved my time working with the family but had Read more to look for another position due to distance and school. Through all of my experiences, I have developed strong communication skills, a hardworking attitude, and organizational skills through my diverse experiences. It is of personal importance to me to treat everyone with respect, kindness, and love in all things. I believe children learn best through experiences and discovery not just for their education, but also for personal growth, naturally leading to engaging and interesting experiences. Currently, I am only available on weekends as I am also in school for radiological technology to become an X-ray technologist. I attend Lakeland Community College and also do clinical work during the week at one of the local hospitals. I also have a job that is Monday through Friday. When I am not working or at school, I can be found playing with my cat and dog, crafting, being active, making music, watching shows, and reading in my spare time. I also love to travel when I have the opportunity. I absolutely love Disney too!
