I bring about 5 years of hands-on childcare experience, starting with paid babysitting in my late teens and early twenties, followed by about a year and a half as a Behavior Technician supporting autistic children, and most recently nearly two years in a Montessori classroom, including independently running my own classroom of children ages 2 to 5. In total, I've worked with children ages 1 to 11+. I'm CDA (Child Development Associate) certified, CPR and First Aid certified, and currently working on growing my education. My Behavior Technician training gave me specialized experience supporting children with diverse needs, while my Montessori background shaped my overall approach to childcare — patient, consistent, and focused on helping each child build genuine independence. I also hold a Veterinary Assistant certificate, grew up around pets, and have pets of my own, so I'm comfortable and confident caring for family pets as well. I find real fulfillment in helping children build routines, develop new skills, and feel safe and supported. There's nothing quite like watching a child grow more confident in something they've been working on. Every child is different, and I take pride in understanding what each one individually needs to thrive, and I genuinely love the work — the kids are so much fun, and every day brings something new and unexpected.
