Hello! My name is Martha (or Marti/Mimi). I have a life long interest in caring for children and have a career goal of becoming a professional parent! In my childhood I spent a lot of time around infants, toddlers, and young children (some of them autistic). My college degree is in Psychology where I focused mainly on cognition and child psychology and development. I'm also in the process of becoming a licensed foster parent, so I've taken some classes on trauma parenting and have a CPR/First Aid certification. Besides babysitting, I do bookkeeping from home part time. My job includes a lot of continuing education, so I can do homework with the kids! I'm deaf and communicate primarily with sign language, speech-to-text, and lipreading in that order. I also know some basic Spanish.
