Hello! I have worked in a crisis shelter for teens (12-17) for 3 years. I have done tutoring for elementary kids for several years, and I currently work as a Paraeducator at an elementary school. I am First-Aid and CPR certified. I have completed training on diabetes, Epi-Pen use, and asthma/ inhaler. I have my Food Handlers card and a clean driving record. I have been background cleared in November 2023 to work in Washington schools and through DCYF in the summer/ early fall of 2023 (all shelter staff had to resubmit a background check). I'm most comfortable with elementary aged kids, but I have toddler and infant experience with my own child. I am looking at babysitting during date nights and when kids are out of school. I'm a giant nerd. I like doing puzzles and playing board games. I'm happy to jump on video games but also go Read more on walks. I love cartoons and movies. I'm an active person and happy to play chase. I'm open to outings to the library and parks and pools in the summer. I'm comfortable making food and following restrictions or allergies. I would love to bring my child along, so she can have experience babysitting. She is 12 now, and she will be considering babysitting at 13 if she enjoys it. She wouldn't need to come along if the parent(s) were opposed, and I wouldn't charge more if she came. She has experience helping her friend watch our neighbor's children.
