I am a recent high school graduate with experience working with children and those with special needs from infancy to high school age. I was in the Teacher Educator Academy this year where I spent two hours four days of my week teaching third grade. I volunteer in the kids wing at my church every Sunday for two hours in the one year old class. I volunteered at Bible Study Fellowship throughout the past school year in the infant classroom for three hours two days a week. My junior year of high school, I was in the preschool program where I taught and lesson planned for preschool aged children, including those with special needs. Throughout my senior year of high school, I was in the Peer Inclusive Environment program where I helped the learning and socialization of high school students with different disabilities. Next year, I plan on attending UCM Read more to start my journey becoming a Speech- Language Pathologist and eventually specializing in autism and language delay.
