Hi my name is Addie and I am a freshman nursing major at Texas Christian University. I have about seven years of experience in childcare and truly love working with kids. I am a responsible, energetic, and compassionate caregiver with hands-on experience working with children in many different environments. I’ve spent a few of my summers working with specific families. Watching kids for a few hours at a time, taking them to the park, the pool or simply creating activities at home. While in these roles I’ve done meal prep, helped with homework and other household chores. This last summer I worked as a camp counselor at a sports camp in Denver, Colorado. I supervised a small group of kindergarten/ first grade age boys and was responsible for keeping them safe, engaged, and included throughout the day. I planned games, helped with transitions between activities, and made sure each child Read more felt supported and confident. I truly loved my role as a counselor and will be returning this summer. That experience strengthened my leadership, patience, and communication skills. It taught me how to manage high energy environments while staying calm and attentive. As a nursing major, I’m especially passionate about caring for others and prioritizing safety and wellbeing. I take pride in being dependable, organized, and someone families can trust.
