Hi! My name is Brittany and working with children is my thing. I began babysitting with my little sisters (twins, 9 years younger) when I was in my early teens. Since then I have taken care of children ages 4 weeks to 17 years. My first professional gig was the summer I spent as a live in nanny for four girls ages 2, 5 7 and 7. I planned activities, made breakfast and lunch, and tutored them all in reading/letter recognition. Shortly after I graduated college I became a head infant teacher at a Kindercare Learning Center- a job I loved very much. I ended up leaving for a higher paying profession, but I began a part -time job at the Oasis Center in Nashville, working with youth 13-17 facing a variety of crisis. I am now planning to pursue a masters in social work and am saving up to Read more start school in the fall. I cannot think of a better way to earn money than being a part-time nanny :) I have the most experience with infants 6 weeks- 1 year old (and I have a TON of developmentally appropriate activities in my arsenal for this age) but I am comfortable with any age. I also have experience caring for infants and children with special needs including Autism, seizures, and Down's Syndrome. I love getting to know each child and planning activities that cater to their interest.
