Hi! My name is Emma, and I love children -- they’re our best teachers and joy-guides. 

I’ve cared for kids ranging from infants to adolescents, and worked as a swim coach for ages 1-12. 

 Currently, I’m transitioning from working a corporate job (recipe editing) to building a life of peace & health. I earned my bachelor’s in psychology from UC Davis and am now working toward my studio art degree (finally following my real dreams!). Earning ECE units is also a goal this year. Being a source of nourishment for children is one of my greatest joys. My mother is an art teacher, and my father is a music teacher. I’ve seen the profound impact that a single adult can have on a child’s life, and I deeply desire to do the same. 

I’m a visual artist & writer, and meditation is at the center of my life. I’ve Read more studied Ayurveda at the Shakti School, and I love reading, writing poetry, singing, gardening, traveling, and being close to the earth. My loved ones tell me that I have a very maternal, warm nature. 

As a highly sensitive person, I can always sense the moods and needs of other people. I deeply understand emotions and can see into the root of behaviors. Attuning to each child comes quickly to me; I believe that simply listening with love solves most emotional & behavioral storms.
